I’ve long had a connection with Letchworth Garden City, one that goes back to when I was 15 years old. I used to stay with my sister when she was studying at Hatfield Poly and we used to visit the Broadway Cinema. I moved there in 1992 and that is when my love for Letchworth really blossomed. I brought my children up there and worked in the schools in the town and I was captivated with the Arts & Crafts buildings at the start. And that passion for the buildings started my papercutting journey with three exhibitions of pieces inspired by and celebrating the beautiful buildings in the garden city. Here are some of my earlier papercuts and how they developed into much more colourful cut paper collages.
